What is Stress?
Stress is not an illness it is a series of physiological body responses to the perception of increased pressure.
Why perception? Because it is different for everyone.
(The HSE defines stress as the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressure or other types of demands placed upon them.) Did you know that 13.5 million working days are lost in Britain each year due to work related stress.
How can stress be managed in the workplace?
- Education of management to recognise the signs of stress in the workplace.
- Correct management tools to understand what to do if they believe the worker(s) is experiencing stress due to their work.
We offer interesting and educational presentations and workshops on the recognition and management stress is the workplace.
What is Resilience?
Resilience is the property of a material that enables it to recover its original shape after being bent, stretched or compressed.
It is the ability to withstand pressure and recover from stress.
Can you foster improved reliance in your workforce? We believe you can and offer presentations and workshops aimed at fostering resilience in teams and individuals at work.
